Studying BHM in Gateway College of Professional Studies is one of the important milestones in my life. I have personally felt that the team of management & faculties is well concerned about the future of each and every student. I have already spent three precious years here and about to start my internship, I have strong feeling that I have gained a lot which has changed my personality and developed confidence to win in the hospitality world. It's a matter of honor for me to be part of Gateway family and promise that I will always be there to contribute as and when required.
Building career in hospitality without developing skills and knowledge as required by the industry is impossible without having healthy learning environment in the college. I take Gateway as my second home which helped me in developing professionalism within me. As said, it was an experience to remember, live, laugh and learn with a versatile family & friends. I would like to thank entire Gateway family for providing a solid foundation to develop my professional life & being an important part of my life. Monmohan Rimal Front Office Manager Hotel Queens Park, Pokhara, Nepal
As a BHM student at Gateway College of Professional Studies has been both exciting and full of learning. The college offers the right balance of theory and practical knowledge, which is essential in this field. Through a practical experience in food production, housekeeping, front office, and food & beverage service, I have gained valuable skills relevant to the industry. The faculty members do more than just teach. They guide us and help us to build confidence and professionalism. Being a part of Gateway makes me feel prepared and positive about my future in hospitality. I am proud to be a Gatewayer and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
Living with a dream of becoming an experienced hotelier so that I would able to start up my own hotel , run it successfully back in my home town, I entered Gateway College for my BHM studies. It nourished me and encouraged me to pursue excellence in my bachelor studies. Now, I must say, the best part is that it really became a 'gateway' to start my career in hotel industry.
College life for everyone brings a new chapter; learning & preparing oneself to be professional, a complete different world. Mine was also no different except one aspect. I entered “Gateway College of Professional Studies” with my average grades in high school level & low confidence for further perusal. However, enrollment in this college was not lesser than a second chance for me to prove myself that I am capable of much more and I did it. College was just not about the theoretical or practical learning but, helped me to believe in myself. I developed communication and leadership skill which is an important part of professional life. I am very thankful to each one of my subject faculties & especially the Founder Principal, Ms. Dali Khanal and Founding Chairman, Mr. Suresh K.C. who have been very supportive throughout by academic journey in undergraduate level. Had there been no support from them I wouldn’t have come so far.
Education is a special privilege. If you have the chance to pursue it, then choose wisely. My decision to study BHM in Gateway College of Professional Studies has been the best gateway to professionalism. Despite the fact that I didn’t carry any formal background in hospitality, Gateway College of Professional Studies gave me what I needed most, i.e., skills and knowledge. College helped me build a strong foundation of skills and knowledge to become an effective hotelier with strong leadership values. As an Alumni, it’s really good to know you have these great connections all over the world. Everywhere you go you find these great people in the industry who carry the professionalism learnt from Gateway. Being a culinary professional, I always believe “Go hard or Go home”. For this, I am thankful towards the whole Gateway Family who taught me the real meaning of “Go hard”.
A big thank you to Gateway for playing a vital part in my career of hospitality. Gateway was a place where I learned from the scratch and this is the place that helped me to be the person I am today. I can say that Gateway College is not only an educational institution but also a place which provides exposure to the students for upcoming real life in the real world. I can never deny the fact that the faculties in Gateway College are the most top tier, as their encouragement, motivation, and support keep on pushing you to reach your target. The overall 3 years in Gateway was always amazing with extra-curricular activities and a platform to learn and showcase your talents. When I started my internship, I was new but Gateway helped me to start my career as a professional hotelier, I will forever be thankful to this place. “I am really gonna miss this place, I am gonna miss my college days”
“Professional education is one of the keys of my success” What I am today, I owe it to my hard work and my skill, which was developed and enhanced by my college, Gateway College of Professional Studies. It is the best college to study hotel management and learn all the life skills, where you get the best course ultimately making you shape your career. Well learned, well skilled professional team always helped me with all the information I needed to shape up my career. Today I run few hospitality businesses on my own and it would not have been possible without that level of exposure, knowledge and skill which I got in and via Gateway College. And I am really enjoying working for myself. If someone is looking forward to make a good career in hospitality, then Gateway is definitely the place to get into.
I chose Gateway above all others due to many reasons like quality education, high skilled and well-known professors and faculties, the massive numbers of practical and the hands-on skill they provide, involvement in real events, organizing events regularly, encouraging students for participation in different ECA and CCA activities, the college-industry relationship, their PR. There are many such things but what I loved the most was their effort in providing employment opportunities to the students from the beginning itself, encouraging them to work along with the continuation of studies so that the students have some experience when they graduate.
