Studying BHM in Gateway College of Professional Studies is one of the important milestones in my life. I have personally felt that the team of management & faculties is well concerned about the future of each and every student. I have already spent three precious years here and about to start my internship, I have strong feeling that I have gained a lot which has changed my personality and developed confidence to win in the hospitality world. It's a matter of honor for me to be part of Gateway family and promise that I will always be there to contribute as and when required.
Building career in hospitality without developing skills and knowledge as required by the industry is impossible without having healthy learning environment in the college. As a BHM student at Gateway College of Professional Studies has been both exciting and full of learning. The college offers the right balance of theory and practical knowledge, which is essential in this field. Through a practical experience in food production, housekeeping, front office, and food & beverage service, I have gained valuable skills relevant to the industry. The faculty members do more than just teach. They guide us and help us to build confidence and professionalism. Being a part of Gateway makes me feel prepared and positive about my future in hospitality. I am proud to be a Gatewayer and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
Living with a dream of becoming an experienced hotelier so that I would able to start up my own hotel , run it successfully back in my home town, I entered Gateway College for my BHM studies. It nourished me and encouraged me to pursue excellence in my bachelor studies. Now, I must say, the best part is that it really became a 'gateway' to start my career in hotel industry.
College life for everyone brings a new chapter; learning & preparing oneself to be professional, a complete different world. Mine was also no different except one aspect. I entered “Gateway College of Professional Studies” with my average grades in high school level & low confidence for further perusal. However, enrollment in this college was not lesser than a second chance for me to prove myself that I am capable of much more and I did it. College was just not about the theoretical or practical learning but, helped me to believe in myself. I developed communication and leadership skill which is an important part of professional life. I am very thankful to each one of my subject faculties & especially the Founder Principal, Ms. Dali Khanal and Founding Chairman, Mr. Suresh K.C. who have been very supportive throughout by academic journey in undergraduate level. Had there been no support from them I wouldn’t have come so far.
After my higher secondary education, without being trapped in any sort of dilemma, I chose Gateway College of Professional Studies for my undergraduate studies and it was the best decision ever made to shape my career. I don’t like to call Gateway a college Instead, I would like to call it my second home because of the friendly and helpful environment created by all the faculties. In our college you meet new people, make new friends, you are provided excellent knowledge and you are pushed to the edge to make yourself better than yesterday. Along with providing the best academic qualification, practical knowledge, field visits and extra curricular activities Gateway College also helps to build up your confidence and helps to shape up your personality.
“Professional education is one of the keys of my success” What I am today, I owe it to my hard work and my skill, which was developed and enhanced by my college, Gateway College of Professional Studies. It is the best college to study hotel management and learn all the life skills, where you get the best course ultimately making you shape your career. Well learned, well skilled professional team always helped me with all the information I needed to shape up my career. Today I run few hospitality businesses on my own and it would not have been possible without that level of exposure, knowledge and skill which I got in and via Gateway College. And I am really enjoying working for myself. If someone is looking forward to make a good career in hospitality, then Gateway is definitely the place to get into.
